Spreading remarkable God-centered education in the city

Spreading Hope Network exists to spread remarkable, God-centered education in our nation’s cities, helping kingdom ‘edu-preneurs’ pioneer & grow classical Christian schools, focused on underserved communities.

In this month’s (June) newsletter, we share good news of a growing supply of schools giving the best education to those who need it most. You’ll also read about a new partnership as well as our last webinar of the summer series. Finally, we cap-off June’s notes with an update on “Plunges.”

New Schools

God is doing a mighty thing to plant mustard seed start-up schools around the country. The leaders of these schools have taken significant steps of faith to launch these schools and are in the days of small beginnings. Please join us in praying over these kingdom schools God has brought to fruition.

We’ve been doing a summer webinar series, and our most recent one earlier this month had an interview with Josh Dyson, who is pioneering Hope Academy Wichita (see above). In the video, Josh shares that the journey to launch a new school for in the city started with a simple question he asked God.

Josh embodies what it means to be an “edupreneur.” He not only is starting Hope Academy Wichita, but also an organization called C5 Urban School Initiative, which exists to equip & empower churches to start classical Christian schools for the under-served in their communities for the sake of the Great Commission.

As of this newsletter, C5 Urban School Initiative is officially a Partner of Spreading Hope Network. We’re linking arms in this work to spread remarkable, God-centered education in the city.

A New Name for Plunges

We’ve always called our immersive visits to Hope Academy “Plunges.”

We are now going to call them “Discovery Events.”

160 leaders from over 100 cities around the US have come to visit our flagship school in South Minneapolis. They all wanted to discover what it takes to launch and lead a remarkable God-centered school in the city. This small name change will be a long-term clarifier of the purpose of these immersive visits! (Updates to website and other digital presence to come soon.)

We have established (most of) our 2025-26 schedule for Discovery Events.
